Ridgefield Troubadour to Perform in Wilton

Emmy-winning artist Kevin Briody takes the stage Sunday when the “Connecticut’s Own” concert series returns to the Wilton Library .

The Ridgefield native’s song “Little Stars,” which was featured on “One Life to Live,” won an Emmy for Best Original Song. He also served as the Connecticut State Troubadour from 2000-2002 and was chosen for the Connecticut Commission of the Arts Master Teaching Artist.

He has performed all-over the country, including Fenway Park in Boston, the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and the Bluebird Café in Nashville.  Briody has also shared the stage with well-known artists such as Art Garfunkel, Kenny Loggins and Trisha Yearwood.

The “Connecticut’s Own” concert series is free, but because space is limited registration is recommended. Pre-registered guests are guaranteed seating until 10 minutes before the show begins at 4 p.m. After that walk-ins and wait-listed people will begin to sit.

Briody will have his CDs available for purchase at Sunday’s concert.
