WILTON, Conn. Enjoy apple slingshots, scarecrow making, hayrides and a circular hay maze at the 11th annual Ambler Farm Day , to be held Sunday at the 18-acre farm.
The popular local tradition offers residents an opportunity to learn about Connecticut's agrarian past. This year's Ambler Farm Day promises the return of many popular activities as well as crafts for children, animals from Woodcock Nature Center plus live music, food and drinks. A new activity this year is a Vintage Photo Booth, complete with costumes for your own American Gothic family portrait taken on a working farm.
Ambler Farm Day is noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at 257 Hurlbutt St. The entrance fee is $20 per family and $10 for senior citizens. Parking is in the adjacent Ambler Field parking lot and at the Cannondale train station, with shuttle service to and from the station and the farm. All proceeds will benefit Ambler Farm.
