Stay at Home in Wilton Gets $10,000 Grant

WILTON, Conn. – Stay at Home in Wilton is hiring a new staff member after receiving a grant from the Fairfield County Community Foundation.

The $10,000 grant will help the new staff coordinator handle member requests as well as develop social functions to enhance the senior’s lives.

"Our coordinator is the key to helping our members feel that they are as effectively served as in a Congregate Care Community without having the hassle of selling their homes, moving away from where they have lived for so long and losing contact with local friends," Phil Richards , president of Stay at Home in Wilton, said in a statement.

Stay at Home in Wilton is a nonprofit group focused on creating a friendly environment to serve Wilton seniors and give them more freedom in the community.
