Miller is President of Programming for NBC Sports Group. He is credited for co-creating the NHL Winter Classic - an event that The New York Times said, "has stolen New Year's Day."

The luncheon is a fundraiser for Fairfield Rotary which gives out $20,000 a year in grants to charities and deserving high school graduates.

Miller has been with NBC for more than 30 years. Under his stewardship, programming on the network includes horse racing's Triple Crown, the NHL, the French Open, Notre Dame Football, Premier League Soccer, Tour de France, NASCAR, Formula One, IndyCar and many golf properties.

Miller will discuss “The Evolution of Sports on TV, from 1978 to Present Day,"  including his stories of sports rights and deals during that time. During his career in television, Miller has created the NBC Sports Ventures unit that acquires and develops new and existing sports properties, and is actively involved in the organization, marketing and promotion of the events.

Reservations are required to attend the March 20 luncheon at Holiday Inn Bridgeport, 1070 Main St., Bridgeport.
