WESTPORT, Conn. – Wilton resident Faye Kim, owner Faye Kim Designs in downtown Westport, won a second-place award in the 2013 CASE Awards, an annual jewelry design competition hosted by Jewelers of America.

Kim won her award in the “Women’s Jewelry Over $5,000 Retail” category for a 3.39-carat Tanzanite ring set in 22-karat gold, Jewelers of America announced. The award was based on creativity, artistry, style and excellence in jewelry design.

“Jewelers of America is honored to recognize the exceptional talents of jewelers, like Faye Kim, whose design demonstrates the remarkable jewelry available from Jewelers of America-member stores nationwide,” Jewelers of America President and CEO David Bonaparte said in a statement.

Kim was one of more than 60 jewelers from across the country in the competition.

CASE award-winners are determined by a panel of jewelry industry experts. The competition was held at the Jewelers of America trade show in New York City.

Faye Kim Designs is located at 190 Main St. in Westport.
