An opening ceremony with the Military Color Guard and dinner with speakers like combat veteran Maj. Ed Pulido and PGA Professional Tony Biata will help start the event.
The golf tournament will be played with five-member teams. Each team will consist of a military veteran golfer, a PGA professional and three Folds of Honor donors.
Folds of Honor has had other golf tournaments nationally to support its mission but this will be the first event in Fairfield County, and is planned to become an annual tournament.
The June 18 event at Rolling Hills will be used as a best practices model for other clubs across the nation to use as a template for their Folds of Honor fundraising efforts.
All proceeds from the tournament will go toward benefiting military families and Folds of Honor scholarships.
