The Thriving Youth Task Force includes over 42 town leaders who work with teens and their parents to improve resiliency, to add positive assets and to reduce risky behaviors among the youth in Darien.

Larkin will serve as a co-chair of the Thriving Youth Task Force with Alicia Sillars, youth director for the Town of Darien.

Larkin, a graduate of Wilton High School, said she is excited to contribute to The Community Fund’s work of promoting healthy asset development in Darien’s youth.

She will be working closely with the Thriving Youth Task Force to assess the needs of Darien’s youth and to implement a five-year strategic prevention plan aimed at the reduction of underage drinking and improved mental health and assets in the town's youth.

Larkin has a degree in counseling and human services and for the past five years, she has served at The Fold Family Ministries, a nonprofit organization providing care, counseling and education for teens and families in crisis.

Located at 701 Post Road, The Community Fund of Darien is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those most in need in our community by providing grants for local human services nonprofit agencies and through community initiatives like the Thriving Youth Program.
