Woods, a Wilton High School senior, received the recognition last month after earning 21 merit badges and completing a vegetable garden at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Bridgeport, according to a report from the Wilton Bulletin.

Woods also completed many hours of community service working with Relay for Life and the Wilton Library.

Woods finished the Eagle Scout gardening project with his fellow Boy Scouts in August.

“It was a massive sense of accomplishment,” he said in the Wilton Bulletin report. “Just pride.”
