Wilton Library Accepts Donation From Ancona's After Bocce Victory

WILTON, Conn. -- The Wilton Library received a donation from Mitch Ancona — owner of Ancona's Wines & Liquors of Wilton and Ridgefield — for its recent victory of the Wilton Library Bocce Brawlers in the bocce tournament Ancona hosted for charity. 

Wilton Library’s executive director Elaine Tai-Lauria receives a generous donation of $1,200 from Mitch Ancona. Holding the trophy is Bocce Brawler Michael Crystal (husband of Janet Crystal, marketing communications manager for the library).

Ancona gave the library a donation of $1,200 and a trophy.

The Wilton Library Bocce Brawlers were headed up by Michael Crystal (husband of Janet Crystal, marketing communications manager for the library). 

The other members of the Bocce Brawlers included Jon Waxberg (husband of Anita Waxberg, processing and circulation assistant for the library); Justin Bartholomew and Jeff Hancock (both employees of Ancona’s). Eight nonprofit teams competed in the round-robin tournament.
