Wilton Library Adds More January Events

WILTON, Conn. -- Wilton Library is offering special events for January, including an introduction to 3D printing, technology classes, jazz music and more.

On Tuesday, Jan. 20, Introduction to Downloadables on Android & Nook Tablets will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Bring your Android device or Nook tablet for a demonstration and hands-on training of Wilton Library’s free downloadable and streaming media. Registration is suggested, and a valid library card is required.

On Friday, Jan. 23, Hot & Cool: Jazz at the Brubeck Room featuring Grace Kelly Quartet will take place from 8 to 9:30 p.m. A reception will follow the concert. Advance registration is suggested. Preregistrants should arrive by 7:50 p.m. to be guaranteed seating; wait-listed and walk-in registrants will be admitted after 7:50 p.m. if space is available. 

On Saturday, Jan. 24, Tales to Tails will take place from 11 a.m. to noon. Ridgefield Operation Animal Rescue's Therapy Dog Program will be bringing therapy dogs to the library for children to read to them. Children must read independently to participate in this program. No program charge, registration is required. 

On Wednesday, Jan. 28, Introduction to eBooks on Kindles will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Bring your Kindle eReader for a demonstration and hands-on training of Wilton Library’s free downloadable eBook system, OverDrive. Registration is suggested.
