Through Hoopla Digital, Wilton card holders can stream or download more than 225,000 albums from major record companies onto their computers or mobile devices. Genres include pop, rock, country, rap and more.

Wilton residents can download the Hoopla Digital application or visit hoopladigital.com.

Users can also visit wiltonlibrary.org and click on Digital Library followed by Hoopla (Digital Music).

“This is a great service to enjoy popular music,” said Melissa Baker, emerging media librarian at Wilton Library. “Now 24/7, you have instant access to sample different albums from various genres, download albums that are classics, or try out new releases all for free.”

Albums are available to stream or download to smart phones, tablets or computers for seven days. Up to five albums may be borrowed per month. There is no waiting to borrow albums and Hoopla Digital offers an automatic return feature.

Through OverDrive, Wilton residents can download eBooks or audio books. When searching for a title in the catalog, patrons may see an “O” icon under the Check Out button, with a headphone icon for audio books and an eReader icon for eBooks.

Items can be reserved or borrowed through OverDrive Digital Media Service apps, personal devices or computers.

Standing with the library may affect access.

Residents who are new to downloadable media can visit wiltonlibrary.org, or call a reference librarian at 203-762-3950, Ext. 211, for assistance.
