Wilton Neighbors Notes

The Wilton High School Madrigals, under the direction of Betsey de Groff, performed recently in New York City at the finale viewing parties for “Glee” and “American Idol” hosted by TV Guide Magazine and held at the Paley Center for Media. As the school year draws to a close and backpacks are cleaned out, consider donating any unused and gently used school supplies to Tools for School, which is currently conducting its fourth annual supplies collection program for children in need. Donations may be placed in collection bins located at Wilton Library and the Village Market from June 21 through July 5. Coordinated by Annette Sciarretta and Amanda Lord, Tools for School has collected and distributed supplies to over 500 families in conjunction with Family and Children’s Agency, Covenant Care, Marvin School and Wilton Social Services. For more information, contact lounet@optonline.net. At the Wilton High School Girls Tennis Team banquet on June 9, team members and their parents celebrated a successful season. JV coaches Louise Hemmerle and Leslie Gambee presented awards: Coach’s Award, Vivian Lai and Hanna Montgomery; MVP, Veronica Low and Amanda Gundel; Most Improved, Lily Smith; Sportsmanship, Sanjana Sekhar. Varsity Mike Gillespie presented the Coach’s Award to Amanda Sakamoto; Most Improved was presented by Brooke Connelly; Sportsmanship by Sabrina Bell, and Leadership by Amanda Sakamoto. Wilton Girls Tennis Team Boosters President Katie Sakamoto thanked the members of the Boosters Board: Suzanne Schaefer, Andrea LowLinda RiccaChristine AmendolaMaura ConnollyJackie Montgomery and Lisbet Srivastava.
