The student will attend Wilton High School and lives with three Wilton families during the course of one full academic year. The student has studied English for many years, plays the piano and appears very enthusiastic about experiencing the United States first-hand, according to a press release.

Each host family is asked to provide a home for the student for a period of approximately three months. The student is expected to participate in family life just as the host family’s own children do, according to a press release.

Exchange students are expected to study and observe our culture so, upon returning home, they can pass on the knowledge they’ve gained and assimilate the positive aspects into their everyday life, according to a press release.

They also are expected to act as ambassadors for their own country while they are here, by addressing youth groups and community organizations and teaching us about their culture, according to a press release.

Your participation can have a very positive effect on the student and also provide a rewarding experience for you and your family, according to a press release.

Contact Elizabeth Edwards, Rotary Club of Wilton Youth Exchange officer, if you are interested in hosting a student this year, or if you would like more information about the program at 203-544-9945 or Beth@eedwardslaw.com.
