The festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a musical performance by the Wilton High School Band at the gazebo. Following the performance, Santa will make his grand entrance on a Wilton Fire Department truck and then the town’s tree— and lampposts throughout Wilton Center— will be illuminated. Afterwards, children can visit with Santa at the gazebo

Families are invited to then stroll through Wilton Center and stop by participating businesses that are opening their stores for shopping and seasonal refreshments. Halstead Property, Stewart Flowers, Wilton Hardware, Pet Pantry, and Village Market are some of the many Wilton businesses participating in this year’s Stroll.

“This is one of the special holiday events the Chamber presents for the enjoyment of the community,” said Chamber Board President Peg Koellmer. “It is a very popular family activity, where the little ones have an opportunity to tell Santa their wishes for presents, and parents can do some early shopping right here in Wilton Center.”

The festivities will take place rain or shine. In the event of rain, Santa will arrive at the gazebo with Brennan at 5:30 p.m. as planned to light the tree. Then, Santa will make his way to the Wilton Library, where he will remain until 7:30pm.
