Putnam 911 Dispatcher Helps Deliver Baby In Southeast

SOUTHEAST, N.Y. -- Putnam County 911 Dispatcher Brian Burdick helped a Southeast couple deliver their baby over the phone on Friday, Nov. 14, according to LoHud.com.

Burdick said it was the first time he ever talked someone through child birth, but both mother and baby were healthy and transported to Putnam Hospital when responders arrived, LoHud.com reported. 

Burdick was able to meet the parents as well as the new baby boy when they stopped in to thank him on Tuesday, LoHud.com said.
