WILTON, Conn. Crews should be finished repaving Route 7 in south Wilton within the next few days, says Lt. Donald Wakeman, of the Wilton Police Department. Lines in the road will be re-painted as soon as the paving is finished.
The project, which began in mid-August, was scheduled to be completed by Sept. 17, but bad weather caused delays. The road has been rough and without street lines from the intersection with Route 33 to the Norwalk border, where more roadwork is being done.
At the intersection of Danbury and Wolfpit roads, just north of Orem's Diner, the absence of the left-turn lane creates confusion. "Drivers should exercise caution in the area where the painting has not been completed," Wakeman said.
