An argument between three siblings escalated out of control Sunday when their father got involved. According to Wilton Police, the incident got physical when Thomas Sabia, 57, lifted one of the kids by the shirt collar and shoved another away for trying to break it up.
Two of the children are teenagers, the third a pre-teen. One of them called police to their Thayer Pond Road home. Police said the mother was not at home, and that the family has had other issues.
Sabia was charged with disorderly conduct and released on a promise to appear on Oct. 4.

? State Police in Bridgeport received a phone call on Sept. 29 from a man who said he had planted bombs at five Stop & Shop stores and a correctional facility in Fairfield County. One of the stores was on River Road in Wilton. Wilton police alerted management at the store, who evacuated the building and walked through the store with police, but nothing was found. The store was reopened about a half hour later. State Police were following up on the case.
