DOT Milling, Repaving Route 7 In Wilton, Redding, Ridgefield

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Drivers tired of the bumpy conditions along Route 7 in Wilton, Redding and Ridgefield will be happy to hear that the road is being repaved.

Work is underway on a nighttime milling and resurfacing project on Route 7 in the towns of Wilton, Redding and Ridgefield and will continue for another month, said the Connecticut Department of Transportation. 

The work will be performed from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. through Wednesday, June 10, DOT said.

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 7 between Route 57 to just north of Route 35. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.

This project is included in the DOT's 2015 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
