Easton Firefighter Spots Bear On Valley Road

EASTON, Conn. — Easton Firefighter Jason Kushnir spotted a bear in Easton last week on Valley Road.

Bears have also been spotted recently in Weston, Westport and Fairfield, where the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection was called in to tranquilize the bear and remove it from a resident's backyard.

They posted a photo of the bear on the Facebook page for Easton Fireman's Carnival, which will be held in town from July 28 through Aug. 1.
