In Fairfield County, many towns were hit hard, with thousands of power outages reported Monday in Westport, Bethel, Newtown, Ridgefield and Redding, among others.

“This has been painstaking work for our crews especially in the southeastern part of the state where the damage was so bad we are having to rebuild parts of the energy system,” said Eversource Vice President of Electric Operations in Connecticut Michael Hayhurst. “The damage from this storm can’t be overstated, with almost 200 utility poles broken, 56 miles of electric lines down and more than 200 blocked roads. Despite the challenges, we will work around the clock to get every last customer restored.”

Crews are continuing to work on scattered outages around the state with a heavy concentration on the southeastern corner. Eversource is on track to have a vast majority of the remaining outages restored by Thursday at noon.

The towns in Fairfield County are listed either as "substantially complete" or with a goal for most repairs by 6 p.m. Wednesday.

For individual restoration information, customers can log into the Eversource website using their account information or call 800-286-2000.
