FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Both seasonable and warm weather is the expected norm this week in Fairfield County, as the temperature bounces up and down the thermometer.
"It's going to be a roller coaster ride of temperatures this week," Accuweather meteorologist Mark Paquette said.
The week is expected to start off with near freezing temperatures, rise to the upper-50s mid -week before falling to the low-20s by the end.
Monday is predicted to be the worst, Paquette said, with a mix of freezing rain, snow, sleet and rain falling over the course of the day. Patchy rain and fog is expected throughout Monday night.
Due to the warm and cold pressure systems coming together so rapidly Paquette said that there is likely to be a good chance of rain around Wednesday. And a chance of snow flurries for Friday.
The first full week of February is likely see a return of the below normal temperatures seen last week.
