WILTON, Conn. -- Visitors to Merwin Meadows Park in Wilton will soon receive free admission along with having a new landscape plan to enjoy, according to the Wilton Bulletin.

The Parks and Recreation Commission decided to change its fee policy and develop a new landscape plan after residents complained about the $60 summer entry fee for residents, non-residents will still have to pay $120 for a summer pass to use the park, and residents will still need to get passes so officials know who is coming in and out of the park, said the Wilton Bulletin said.

In addition, the Board of Selectmen allocated $10,000 to Parks and Recreation to develop a landscape plan which will include upgrade to the facility, the parking lots, and the soccer field. A resident has started a fund to raise money to upgrade the playground, added the Wilton Bulletin.
