FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Areas of dense fog, especially along the coastline of Long Island Sound of Fairfield County, will affect the region Monday afternoon, the National Weather Service said in a Special Weather Statement.
The foggy and rainy conditions will continue into the afternoon. Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling due to dramatically reduced visibility.
Rain will continue Monday with a high near 58 degrees. It will become cloudy and then partly cloudy Monday night, with a low near freezing.
There is a slight chance of snow showers Tuesday afternoon -- and a white Christmas -- with increasing clouds and a high near 36, the National Weather Service said.
