WESTON and WILTON, Conn. — More than 24 hours after powerful thunderstorms roared through Fairfield County, hundreds of customers were still without power.
As of 6 p.m. Friday, Eversource was reporting the following outages:
- Easton: 6 customers
- Greenwich: 179 customers
- Weston: 264 customers
- Wilton: 99 customers
A line of thunderstorms with strong winds and lightning hit the area mid-afternoon on Thursday.
Eversource reported downed power lines, branches, trees and other debris across various parts of Fairfield County on Friday.
It was not clear when the last outages would be repaired.
Eversource reminds customers to never go near downed wires and to call 911.
