Wilton Police have arrested a Pennsylvania man five years after a motor vehicle break-in in which he was a suspect. Luis Lopez, 29, of Easton, Pa., was being detained by Easton police when they learned from a computer check that he was wanted in Wilton. Wilton police had linked Lopez and two other people to the February 2006 incident, in which a GPS unit was taken.
Lopez waived extradition and was brought back by Wilton detectives on March 14. He was charged with burglary in the third degree, larceny in the fourth degree, and conspiracy. He was released on a $25,000 bond.
The other two individuals were arrested in 2006.
