WILTON, Conn. Many Wilton residents have their power back after the weekend snow storm put more than three-fourths of the town in the dark.
In a morning robo-call Friday, First Selectman Bill Brennan said only 19 percent of the town was without power. Connecticut Light & Power continues to estimate that all power wil be restored by Sunday at midnight.
The call also reported that power was restored to 450 homes Thursday night.
According to the announcement there are 19 utility crews working in Wilton Friday with the primary goal of restoring power, with a priority on the neighborhoods of:
- Old Belden Hill Road
- Rivergate Drive
- Range Road
- Heather Lane
- Silver Spring Road
- Linden Tree Road
- Olmstead Hill Road
- Powder Horn Hill Road
- Catalpa Road
- Cheesespring Road
Some roads still require some clean up from tree debris, but all roads are passable," Brennan said.
The shelter at Miller-Driscoll Elementary is no longer open, but residents will still be able to pick up ready-to-eat meals and water at the Fire Department.
