Breaking News: Female Swimmer In Critical Condition After Squantz Pond Boating Accident

New Month, Same Forecast in Wilton

It looks as if February will pick up right where January left off with a Winter Storm Warning issued for Wilton from 6 a.m. Tuesday to 7 p.m. Wednesday. A total of 7 to 12 inches of snow and a quarter- to a half-inch of ice is expected to accumulate.

The heaviest snow is expected for Tuesday, with snow, freezing rain and sleet expected throughout much of the day and accumulation ranging from 6 to 9 inches. Temperatures should range in the 20s throughout the day.

The freezing rain and snow will continue throughout the day Wednesday, but accumulation is expected to be minimal. The precipitation is expected to stop by Thursday and give way to sun.

A Winter Storm Warning means that severe winter conditions are expected with heavy snow that will make travel difficult.
