A 16-year-old Wilton High School student was caught with marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his possession on Sept. 24. School officials found the drugs on the student and called the Police Department. The case is still open and, according to the police, the schools resource officer is doing the follow-up investigation. Officers said the student was to be forwarded to juvenile court.

Douglass Cotrel, 28, of Massachusetts turned himself in to the Wilton police on Sunday. He was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear. Back in September 2005, Cotrel was arrested for allegedly taking a credit card out of a purse at the Boston Market in Wilton and using it at several different locations. He was charged with fourth-degree larceny for conspiracy to commit a crime, fourth-degree larceny for credit card theft and illegal use of a credit card.
After turning himself in Cotrel was held on $2,500 bond and taken to Norwalk Superior Court on Sept. 27.
