WILTON, Conn. – For the second time in less than a month whole shelves of items were taken from the Wilton CVS on River Road, the Wilton Police Department reported.

“It’s the same as the last one. A male and female removed the items and left,” said Wilton Deputy Police Chief Robert Crosby.

The amount of Oral B Triumph 4000, Crest 3D Whitening Strips and Sonicare products taken was valued at $1,228.26. “I would say they cleared the shelves, which is their MO from last time,” Crosby said.

Video surveillance confirmed that the suspects were the same two from the April 19 incident, Crosby said. He said that police have no evidence that the ingredients in these items can be used to make illegal drugs, but that they believe they are easy re-sale items.

Crosby said the items may have been removed by putting the boxes in coats or bags.

Police report that there have been similar incidents in other towns and they believe the suspects are the same. “We have really good leads,” Crosby said. “We’re hoping to come up with these people shortly.”

Anyone with information on the two suspects is asked to contact the Wilton Police at (203) 834-6260.
