WILTON, Conn. Warm summer days free of homework, a nice walk in the center of town and financial security were some of the things on the minds of people in Wilton when we spoke with them Thursday.
Barbara Dahm of Cheese Spring Road was thinking about how she would fit so many things into her day. Theres a lot of good things going on, Dahm said, referring to events at the Wilton Library, as well as the chance to board her boat, now docked at the Sprite Island Yacht Club in Norwalk.
Patricia Kohler was thinking of the hot summer as she waited in her car outside the Wilton Library for her 11-year-old daughter, Aimsley, to finish getting some books for summer reading. Its the care-free days of summer, she said. Theres a nice breeze today. Its not so bad.
Kit Smith and his wife Nancy also enjoyed Thursdays weather as they walked in Wilton Center. Its a lazy day, Smith said. Were taking a walk and enjoying the sun. And its not too humid yet.
Susan Grey of Ridgefield was thinking of financial security. She owns a home-based dog-training service, but business has slowed some in recent times. Im trying to find work. Im looking for a part-time job, she said.
For Marissa Antosh, 29, of Brookfield, who works at the Wilton Library, shes just excited for the summer and the programs going on at the library. Antosh also was on the hunt for lunch and was walking to the Village Market for something cool to eat. I hope they've got gazpacho, she said.
