Ring's End Lumber in Wilton reported a larceny Dec. 15 after it received a bad check for $1,400 worth of materials Dec. 4. Police believe the check may have been stolen, and the driver's license number given was not accurate. The case remained open as police investigate.

? A black Garmin Asus phone was stolen out of a car Dec. 14 while the owner was at Boston Market in Wilton. Police say the case was reported for the owner's insurance claim, and there are no suspects. The phone is valued at $350.
