Wilton Neighbors Notes

People are talking about…The disappearance of Soup Alley, a prime lunch spot and takeout institution. Soup Alley’s famous Daddy’s Chicken Noodle Soup is required fare in many Wilton households. Owner Ali Bernhard says, “Soup Alley did not renew the lease at the present location but plans to remain within Wilton in a smaller, greener space.”

Moving on to the last part of the school year, Wilton students demonstrate their achievements in academics, music and art. Charlotte Arbogast of Wilton is one of six students in 11th grade  to be named a Cavalier Scholar at the Harvey School in Katonah, N.Y.

Harriette Slagle , Wilton High School student, and Christian Hunt , a student at Middlebrook School, performed in the Greater Bridgeport Youth Orchestra concert May 15 in Klein Auditorium. Harriette is a cellist in the symphony orchestra and Christian plays the trumpet in the concert orchestra.

Congratulations to the winners of the Scholastic Art Awards Contest, which is sponsored in conjunction with the Connecticut Art Education Association. The following Middlebrook School students won honorable mention for their artwork: Daria Acosta- Rua , Chaihyun Kim , Kira Lin , Nicholas DiCorato , Makenna Pearsall , Francis Serra and Grant Hussey . Matthew Ziluca was a Gold Key winner. Wilton High School students who won honorable mention are Jason Lilly , Grace Amione , and Glenn Marchese . Silver Key winners were Kady Holland , Margalit Cutler and ShiYing Gu . The art is currently on display at the Wilton Public Library.
