Wilton Ranks Third In Neighbor To Neighbor Energy Challenge

WILTON, Conn. -- Of the 14 towns that participated in the three-year Neighbor to Neighbor Energy Challenge, Wilton came in third for its townwide effort to reduce energy usage.

State Rep. Gail Lavielle, R- Wilton, presented a state citation to George Geller, Karen Stanley, First Selectman Bill Brennan and Patrice Gillespie on Tuesday for helping Wilton to achieve third place in the challenge.

Towns racked up points with the help of their residents by completing Home Energy Assessments and home energy upgrades. Wilton took a close third place in the challenge with help from numerous community groups reaching out to residents to take part in the challenge.

As a prize for its efforts, Wilton will be receiving an electric-vehicle-charging station.
