Wilton To Hold Hurricane Feedback Session

WILTON, Conn. — A public information meeting about Hurricane Irene will be held Sept. 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the Wilton Library's Brubeck Room, the town of Wilton and its state legislators announced.

The purpose of the hearing will be to solicit comments from Wilton residents on major storm-related issues and to obtain suggestions to improve preparations and response to future emergencies.

In attendance will be First Selectman Bill Brennan , state Sen. Toni Boucher , state Rep. Gail Lavielle and other town officials. Representatives from Connecticut Light & Power will also attend.

As future storms are inevitable, the town and CL&P recognize the need to make emergency response improvements when required, officials said. The input of Wilton residents will be important, as the town plans for future storm emergencies, officials said.
