WILTON, Conn. – Carl N. Dieringer of Wilton died Sept. 24 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was 73.
He was born March 30, 1939, in Napoleon, Ohio, to Clarence and Genevieve Hagler Dieringer. He was married to Melanie E. Hawcutt Dieringer, who survives him. Dieringer was retired from IBM.
Dieringer is also survived by a son, Matthew L. Dieringer, and his fiancee, Megan A. Smith, of Woodstock, Conn.; a daughter, Morgen N. (Dale) Ames, of Exeter, N.H.; a sister, Priscilla Garbers, of Napoleon, Ohio; a granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Norfield Congregational Church in Weston, with the Rev. Bernard R. Wilson officiating. Burial will be held privately at a later date. Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home in Norwalk is handling arrangements.
