NORWALK, Conn. – Frederick "Joe" Nolan Jr. of Norwalk died of cancer Sept. 13 at his home, surrounded by family. He was 67.
A longtime employee of Perkin-Elmer Corp., Nolan was co-owner of Keno Graphics in Wilton.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of Frederick Sr. and Gertrude Galanaugh Nolan. He was married to Frances LaSasso Nolan. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 4.
He graduated from Brien McMahon High School in 1962 and served in the National Guard. Nolan enjoyed tending to his garden, watching New York Yankees games and spending time with his family. He was a member of the IPMA Connecticut chapter and the Knights of Columbus.
Nolan is survived by his wife; three daughters, Jo-Linda Nolan, Kimberly (Joseph) Bonaddio and Kelly Nolan Batcha; four brothers, William, Robert, Michael and James Nolan; a sister, Deborah Nolan-Erlacher; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday. Magner Funeral Home handled arrangements.
