WILTON, Conn. – Iris May Barton, of Wilton, died Wednesday, Feb. 3 at Wilton Meadows. She was 89.
She was born in Gibraltar in 1926, the daughter Alfred and Conchita Stokes-Vecchio. After she and her family came to the United States, she married Harold R. Barton of Norwalk.
She was honored by the Turnover Shop for her many years of service and, before that, worked for Norwalk Savings Society, now a part of Bank of America.
She was predeceased by her sister, Maria Jarreau Heller; and her only son, Thomas Alfred Barton.
Graveside funeral services will be at noon Sunday at Hillside Cemetery, Wilton. Kane Funeral Home, Ridgefield is in charge of the arrangements.
