WILTON, Conn. -- Jane Isabel Brendel, 88, of Wilton died at The Greens in Wilton on Saturday, Aug. 8.
Brendel was born in California on March 7, 1927, to William and Barbara Braun Hansen. She grew up in the San Francisco Bay area where she trained in theater and dance, which she also taught for many years.
She eventually moved to the East Coast and decided to enter the ministry. She has been a counselor for Religious Science for several years and has lectured in her church in New York City.
She is survived by her daughters Amy McNichols and her husband Patrick of Norwalk and Cari Taylor and her husband, Michael of Los Angeles as well as her grandchildren Jesse Taylor and his wife Chelsea, Lindsey Eaker and her husband Brendan and Erin McNichols and her great-grandson Nolan Eaker.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home in Norwalk. Interment will be private. For directions or to leave an online condolence, please go to www.magnerfuneralhome.com.
