WILTON, Conn. – Lucienne T. Morin, a Wilton resident for more than 60 years, died Sept. 29 in Bridgeport. She was 89.
One of 11 children, Morin was born July 9, 1923, in Newport, Vt., to Wilfred and Nathalie Logier Gosselin. She moved to Bridgeport during World War II and worked on an artillery shell assembly line.
In 1947, she married her hometown sweetheart, Gerard Morin. They moved to the Wilton Arms apartments where he was the first superintendent and she worked at the nearby Village Market. They started Servco Oil in 1962, where Morin worked in the family business until 1985.
Morin is survived by two sons, Andrew, of Wilton, and Michael, of Stratford; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Bouton Funeral Home in Georgetown. There will be a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Danbury, where she was a founding parishioner. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
