Robert Anderson Keers, 22, Wilton Native, UConn Student

WILTON, Conn. -- Robert Anderson Keers, 22, of Wilton, died Sept. 28.

Keers was a 2012 graduate of Wilton High school, where he lettered in football, lacrosse and track. In football, where he played five positions, he received the Golden Shovel Award for defensive play and made the ALL FCIAC Second Team for Defense. He still has a Wilton High School record for the most touchdown passes. 

He attended the School of Business at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, where he was a finance major. He was on the dean’s list and the honor roll and also was a Kappa Sigma Scholar. 

He is survived by his parents Malcolm and Nicki Keers; his brother Mac Keers and his grandparents, Hilton and Pat Davis.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11 at the Wilton Presbyterian Church, 48 New Canaan Road., Wilton.
