Sister Agnes Patrice Connors, 93, Of Wilton, Former Teacher

WILTON, Conn. – Sister Agnes Patrice Connors, 93, of Wilton, died Wednesday, May 13.

She was born April 5, 1922, in Malden, Mass., to the late Patrick and Mary Agnes Meers Connors.

She took her vows as a School Sister of Notre Dame in 1943.

Connors taught at the Madonna School in Fort Lee, N.J., and also taught in Baltimore.

In 1953, she began a 17-year ministry in Puerto Rico. She then served in Chile for 33 years.

She returned to the United States in 2003, and lived at Villa Notre Dame in Wilton.

She moved to Lourdes Health Care Center in 2007, where she remained until her death.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews, and members of her religious community.

Calling hours will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Villa Notre Dame, 345 Belden Hill Road, Wilton.

A prayer service will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the convent.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Villa Notre Dame.

Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bethel.

Bracken-Donovan-Spodnick Funeral Home, Bridgeport, is handling the arrangements.
