Waldo “Abel” Gonzalez, 43, was charged with murder, criminal possession of a firearm, possession of a pistol without a permit and risk of injury to a minor in the death of Ronald Simmons, police said.

Simmons, 44, was shot at the corner of Norman Street and Freemont Avenue after a July 2 dispute with the suspect and his family, police said.

The suspect is being held on $1 million bond.

Both of his daughters, Dynasty Gonzalez, 18, and her 15-year-old sister, face third-degree assault and breach of peace charges, police said.

Dynasty Gonzalez was held on $5,000 and her sister was released without bond, police said.
