A woman told police she had parked her car facing westbound on the Post Road, near Corbin Drive, at about 1:13 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1.

She visited an area restaurant and returned to where she had parked at about 2:30 p.m., police said.

The 2008 Lexus was gone, and she initially believed it had been towed, police said.

Officers conducted a canvass of the area and found surveillance camera footage from a nearby gas station. It showed a person walking past the vehicle, turning around, opening the door and entering the car, police said.

The suspect then drove the car from the scene, traveling west on the Post Road, police said.

"Due to the quality of the video and distance from the scene, a description of the person could not be obtained," police said.

The police investigation will continue.
