Wilton Man Charged With Driving Under The Influence

DANBURY, Conn. – A three-car accident on White Street resulted in several injuries and one driver was charged with driving under the influence by the Danbury police.

Officers who arrived on the scene at about 8:40 p.m. reported that one driver, a 32-year-old Wilton man, had “glassy and bloodshot” eyes, police said.

According to the police report, officers smelled a strong odor of alcohol and gave the man field sobriety tests, all of which he failed.

Police charged him with driving under the influence, following too close and operating a car without a license. The man was held on $10,000 bond. His court date has not been reported.
