Ryan Miller, 32, of 17 Forestview Drive, Wolcott, was charged with third-degree larceny. He posted $1,000 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 30.

In late 2007, a Wilton resident complained that Miller cashed checks of $1,010 and $700 and too $240 in cash, but he never performed the work he was contracted to do, police said.

Police issued an arrest warrant in 2008, but Miller couldn't be contacted. Nothing happened until the man went to get a pistol and needed to have his fingerprints taken.

He was told by Wolcott Police that there was a warrant out for his arrest, and he quickly contacted Wilton Police and made arrangements to turn himself in, police said.
