Officers found the GMC at about 9:45 a.m. Aug. 8 parked on Route 33 near Belden Hill Road, police said.

Aaron Montgomery, of Springfield, Vt., was waving his arms out the windows to get attention and said he was lost, police said.

He initially gave officers a false name, but his true identity was learned a short time later, police said.

Officers searched Montgomery and found in his possession "all different kinds of prescription drugs," including painkillers and Valium, which were not prescribed to him, police said.

He was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics, interfering, possession of drug paraphernalia, and illegal storage of drugs.

He was held on $15,000 bond for an Aug. 8 court appearance.
