Lynch To Take The Reins As Next Police Chief In Wilton

WILTON, Conn. -- Wilton Police Capt. John P. Lynch will be promoted to chief of police when Chief Robert Crosby retires in April, the department announced Tuesday.

Lynch has been a Wilton police officer since 1985. He moved up the ranks to lieutenant then captain and has been the executive officer for the department during Crosby's tenure, police said on Facebook. 

He will be sworn in as the new chief in April.
