Kwame Abankwa, 23, of Bronx, N.Y., was charged last Thursday with first-degree criminal trespass, a class A misdemeanor. Police said someone at a residence on Keelers Lane contacted police at about 4:30 p.m. Jan. 3 to report that an intruder came in the home and refused to leave.
Police said Abankwa, who initially gave officers the name Isaac Ofori-Bonsu, entered the residence through an unlocked rear door. Police said Abankwa, who was there on a previous day for work as a health aide, had been asked never to return to the premises.
Police said Abankwa did not commit any crimes while in the house.
Abankwa was ordered held on $5,000 bond. According to state court records, he is scheduled to appear on Jan. 23 in Norwalk Superior Court.
