One instance involved a crash between a bus and a Volvo heading north on Route 7 Jan. 20 at 7 p.m., according to the Wilton Bulletin.

The bus was attempting to turn left out of the ECS 390 Danbury Road location when it was hit on the driver’s side, the Wilton Bulletin said.

Both drivers did not want medical attention for minor injuries and the bus driver received a ticket for failure to grant right of way at a driveway, reported the Wilton Bulletin.

On Jan. 22 at around 7:30 p.m. fire and police personnel put out a fire on a bus at Danbury Road and Sharp Hill Road, said the Wilton Bulletin.

The emergency workers arriving on the scene found the driver outside the bus, which they determined had smoldering wires inside plastic paneling around the driver’s seat window, according to the Bulletin.

The workers removed the wires and the bus was operable for its return to the ECS location, reported the Wilton Bulletin.
