Overturned Car On I-95 Snarls Traffic Through Darien, Stamford Area

DARIEN, Conn. — An overturned car blocked two lanes of I-95 northbound on Friday morning, causing traffic jams in the Darien-Stamford area, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

The accident was between Exits 12 and 13 and blocked the left and center lanes for about an hour, DOT said. It was reported at about 10:30 a.m.

The scene has been cleared, but the traffic backup continues for about 4 miles back to Exit 8 in Stamford, DOT said.
